The Western Victorian Careers Expo hosts TIS (Tertiary Information Service) each year. An open invitation exists to students, parents, and career changes. TIS have a 45 minute presentation as well as exhibition sites.
TIS stands for the Tertiary Information Service, who are a collective of universities, TAFEs and independent tertiary colleges helping students prepare for their future careers through free events in Victoria and Tasmania. Every year between April and July, TIS runs a series of roadshows, providing an opportunity for students to learn more about their higher education and tertiary study options once they have finished high school. We discuss important topics such as;
- How to apply for your chosen institution
- Why you should consider continuing your education
- What type of qualifications you can study
- Where to find information regarding courses, scholarships and assistance
- What the transition to further education may look like for you
- Fees and costs.
